In honor of Veterans Day, Midwest Hospice spent time at Renaissance West paying tribute to all of the Veterans who call the building home. Our Chaplin, Cecil Day, took it upon himself to have everything prepared by the time the residents gathered in. Thank you to our Chaplains, Cecil Day and Don Hooker, for overseeing the veteran ceremony, as well as singing.

To conclude the service, Midwest Hospice, with the help of Renaissance West staff, unveiled a “Veteran Wall” where residents could display their service pictures to commemorate the years they devoted to our country. Bringing to light our Veterans selflessness and remembering that they gave of themselves so that we could continue to live freely is so very important. Though we should be thanking Veterans every day, having the opportunity to come together is often taken for granted.
