Recently, Midwest Hospice began the long journey towards becoming a top tier provider for the Veterans’ Administration (VA). Part of this process is being recognized through the We Honor Veterans program. Our commitment to top quality care is seen through the steps we have taken to become part of the We Honor Veterans program. We have begun implementing a variety of additional, often unnoticed, checks and balances making sure we can supply our veterans with the honor and respect they so rightly deserve.
We Honor Veterans is a program that was originally designed by the VA for hospice providers to help them to better recognize and address the unique needs of Veterans and their families. It also gives hospice providers with the tools to guide Veterans through their life stories and experiences to provide a more peaceful passing. To become a recognized member of the program, the hospice must complete several steps and tasks within those steps.
By teaming up with the We Honor Veterans program, we are merely following through on our commitment to our patients and their families by bettering ourselves a company.
